Meet our Resource Teachers!

Pocomoke Elementary has so much to offer our students!


Shannon Phillips, Speech Therapy
Mrs.Phillips is a graduate of the Worcester County Public School System and has furthered her education at Towson State University where she obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech-language pathology.  She is certified by ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and currently services children at PES and PHS. She has worked in Worcester County since 1998 and has been at PES since 2004.  She has previously worked in both Somerset and Wicomico Counties.

Theresa Olenchick, ELL (English Language Learners)
Mrs. Olenchick graduated from Salisbury University in 2007 with a dual degree in early childhood and elementary education. She began teaching at Pocomoke Elementary in 2010, and has taught both kindergarten and grade 1.  She received her master's degree in English Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) in 2015.

Jill Dillon, School Psychologist
Ms. Dillon has been working as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist since 2008. She serves Pocomoke Elementary School, Pocomoke Middle School, Pocomoke High School, Snow Hill High School, as well as the Alternative Program at the Board of Education. She has an avid interest in the education, as well as the social and emotional development of all  our children. Being both a parent and employee in the school system gives her the extra motivation to see that our children in this community are getting what they need to become successful adults.  She believes in and praises our Blue Ribbon status and is honored to be a part of this team. Without our amazing staff, we would not be where we are today!

Michelle Dougherty, Occupational Therapist

Danielle Jackson, Reading Interventionist and Title I Specialist
Ms. Jackson is a Worcester County native.  She graduated from Wilmington University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and has been at Pocomoke Elementary School since 2013.  She loves it here!

Susan Green, Instructional Technology Coach

Mrs. Green has a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Virginia Tech and has taught PreK, Kindergarten, and 4th Grades in Accomack County.  She has been the Instructional Technology Coach at PES since 2004.  She loves working with all the wonderful students and staff here!
