Our First Grade Teachers

Kelli Cropper

Ms. Cropper has been a first grade teacher for 21 years. She began her teaching career in the Baltimore City Public Schools at Sarah M. Roach Elementary School.  She later decided to return home to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and has been a first grade teacher at Pocomoke Elementary School for the last 18 years. Ms. Cropper's love for learning is evident in her students!  She believes that all students will be successful if there is consistent support in the classroom and at home!

Lavonya Dashiell
Mrs. Dashiell is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia.  She graduated from Salisbury University with a bachelor's in elementary education.  She received her master's in educational leadership from Wilmington University.  She taught 4th grade for one year in Accomack County, and has been at Pocomoke Elementary School since 2000. She began as a 3rd grade teacher and is currently one of our 1st grade teachers.  In an environment with love and constant support, she believes that all children can grow and become successful.  

Maya Batson

Donna Logan
Mrs. Logan teaches first grade here at Pocomoke Elementary School.  She has been an early childhood teacher for 17 years and here at PES for 11 years, teaching kindergarten and now first grade.  Mrs. Logan believes in creating a student-centered classroom and emphasizing learning skills for all types of students.

Jordan Price

Casey Bradford
Mrs. Bradford graduated from Salisbury University in 2008 with a degree in early childhood education and a certification in special education. She began working for Worcester County Public Schools in 2012 where she started her career as an educational assistant, working in inclusion classrooms with students with disabilities. She has been a classroom teacher at Pocomoke Elementary since 2015.
